Stryker Completes Acquisition of SERF SAS

With more than 50 years in the medical device space, SERF SAS is recognized for its innovations in hip implants, including the invention of the original Dual Mobility Cup.

Stryker has completed its acquisition of SERF SAS, a France-based joint replacement company, from Menix.

With more than 50 years in the medical device space, SERF SAS is recognized for its innovations in hip implants, including the invention of the original Dual Mobility Cup. In its announcement of the acquisition, Stryker noted that the SERF SAS will complement its existing presence in France and across Europe as well as its global joint replacement portfolio, allowing the company to serve a wider range of patients by strengthening its implant product line.

“The SERF SAS product portfolio is built on a trusted legacy within the orthopedic industry,” said Mathieu Badard, Vice President and General Manager, Stryker’s Joint Replacement division, Europe. “We are thrilled to combine our best-in-class product portfolios and work together to expand our presence within Europe and increase patient access to differentiated products for joint replacement.”
