MedTech Market to Hit $470 Billion by 2020, Prepare for Consolidation

Expect to see slow growth and more mergers & acquisitions.

The medtech market is expected to experience slow growth over the next five years, according to the recently released report by market research firm Evaluate, “World Preview 2015, Outlook to 2020″. In an interview with MedTech Intelligence, Ian Strickland, product manager at EvaluateMedTech discussed the key findings of the report during the AdvaMed 2015 conference last week. Among the highlights are the projected 4.1% growth between 2014 and 2020, along with a “massive wave of consolidation.” Strickland also provided insights on the largest areas of opportunity for the medtech industry.
