The FDA will host the second in a series of medical device sterilization town halls on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 12:00pm-1:00 pm ET. This session, “FDA Activities and Challenges in Reducing Reliance on Ethylene Oxide (EtO),” will focus on the challenges and opportunities of switching from EtO to other sterilization methods, the need for forward-looking collaborative activities to support reduced EtO use while assuring patients have access to medical devices, and the creation of a dedicated EtO Tiger Team to advance innovations in medical device sterilization. Registration is not required to attend. Those interested in attending can join the town hall here.
