Once again the annual MEDICA App Competition will crown three winners of the most innovative mobile medical solutions. The medical mobile solution must be designed for smartphones, tablets, smart watches, AR or VR gear, or drones, and target patients, doctors, hospitals and other clinical teams. The product must be live by the end of Q1 2018 (and cannot be older than Q1 2015 in terms of launch date). B2C solutions such as apps that focus on diet tips, fitness or wellness will not be considered. Only one submission per company will be accepted.
Jurors will judge the product based on several factors, including functionality and the intuitiveness of the user interface, the level of innovation and problem solving, and its scalability.
Developers can submit their solutions from now until September 30, 2017. Following a juror deliberation, 15 developers will be selected to participate in the live competition on Wednesday, November 15 from 2:00–6:00pm at MEDICA 2017 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
First place will take home €2000, second place wins €1000 and third place takes home €500.
